A new decade

A new year doesn't feel as special over here. It's probably because the academic calendar starts in September and all. And right now it feels like the middle of school term, which it is.

There is so much to do but I just can't get myself to start doing anything. Streaming movies and going out being the only exceptions.


All I've done so far is.. make a timetable. Yipee!


Family came over for a week. It was real nice actually. Looking at the pictures now, it was fun!


First stop, UCL.



HAHAHA. Mummy dragged all of us to take the pic. Crazy bright sun.



At Stonehenge, we made snow balls!! So fun.

Time to look at my timetable and hopefully do something more useful.

The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas

I didn't realise what the movie was about when I saw the poster. I even thought it was animated or something.

It's about a son of a German soldier who makes friends with a Jewish boy in concentration camp.

But daymnnn.. it's wow. Really good acting and directing.

It's depressing. Hatehatehate the stuff about the Holocaust. I wouldn't watch it ever again. But it's good. And it's a British movie which makes it even more wow. Haha.


It's always the movies that I know nothing about that turn out to be friggin awesome.

Winter Wonderland

Oo okay so it DID snow yesterday and pretty heavily!

At first it was "Ooo.. Pretty.." and "Aaaa.. So nice.." then as it started to get heavier and heavier it turned to


"OMG SO COLD MY TOES AND FINGERS ARE FRIGGIN PAINFUL GET ME OUTTA HERE"


Food helped me so much. Hot chocolate(£2) and Bratwurst with bread roll (£4). The others also had all sorts of stuff like huge ass chocolate pretzels(£4) and crepes(£3-£5).



Cooking Bratwurst/German sausages.



Eating it.



This was the light snow. When everyone still looked happy. After that we were all just super miserable. Didn't take any pics. Hands too cold.




Hahahahhaha. Moose.

And so I came back. Wet but satisfied. Lol. Sounds so wrong.

PS. I figured out how to get the £ sign on my keyboard!! Changed it from American to UK English.

Control Panel > Language and Regional Options > Languages tab > Details > Add English(United Kingdom).



Make sure the keyboard says United Kingdom.

£ is Shift + 3 and the @ symbol is Shift + ',' (beside the enter button). Those are the only two differences I think.

And tada!Sooo much easier now. £££££££. Weeeee!

It's half past 10 in the morning here and lecture is in half an hours time.

It's not snowing. But I don't care, you know. Like anything man. Hahah.

More importantly, I'm going to Winter Wonderland at Hyde Park for lunch! Weird I know. But there's German food, German hotdogs, German desserts. Lecker lecker!


It's gonna be so good. Compare that to what I had for lunch few weeks ago.


Instant Hor Fun!!! (Abalone flavour xD) All you do is pour boiling water and tada! Okay it was actually pretty good. Aahh all the MSG. Yummers! Haha.

Just finished watching the latest episode of How I Met Your Mother. Love that showww. You gotta watch it.

And came across this video. I can't believe I only just found it. After 2 whole months.




I guess you call it self mocking? Haha. On the spot. Pros. Amazing how they know everything exactly. Sad that 80% of their haters are from their own country.

Lalala. Good morning blog!

I skipped a tutorial today(to do work). Feels so good to have my mornings free. Only a couple of days left to Christmas holiday! Can't wait!

I was screaming like a little fan girl. Hahaha.

It was awesome. I didn't manage to take many pictures but seeing them just there, so near. Holy crap. Hahaha.

I just have to blog about it while the uuummphh is still there.



WeeLim and I left UCL at about half past 3. Arrived outside the cinema at 4. We waited for two whole hours in the freezing until people started arriving. But when they came omg it was so worth it. They were SO near.


What?? You mean you don't know who he is?!?!? Yeah neither do I. Some guy from Lost apparently. Ian something.



He was super nice though. And pretty cute. Haha.



SHE'S SO PRETTY!!! AAAHHH!! RACHELLL!!! I LOVE THE NOTEBOOKKK!!!



Couldn't get a nice picture. Lol. She was smiley the whole time! And so brave. In her dress out in the freezing cold weather.


And then there was Jude Law!!! But I totally just spazzed. Couldn't get my camera out in time so I just stared at him. Hahah.


Finally Robert Downey Jr.!! I only saw him for a second and he was really far away. =( But still, I saw him! And he looked happy. Hahaha.


Also brought back this poster from the premiere. Tugged it off from the sidelines.
